Brand History

The creative education of Chicca Lualdi starts from the very first age, born in a family known in the Luxury Design Industry, she starts to absorb a passion for modern art and architecture, having the chance to meet artists, architects and some of the greatest masters of contemporary design.

Her vision of style is based on this heritage and on her passion for the Fashion icons of style: Courrèges, Balenciaga and Cardin just to mention a few. Following specific studies at FIT, in New York, Chicca Lualdi collaborates as a designer with a number of important companies such as G. Ferré, Malo, Alberta Ferretti, Etro, Max Mara Group, Hermès knitwear and more.

2010 sees the launching of the Chicca Lualdi Beequeen brand: awarded by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion Industry as the best upcoming knitwear designer of Italian fashion. The brand is immediately selected by major retailers and attracts the interest of international press. The brand has the honour to open the official calendar for Milan Fashion week.

In October 2011, Saks Fifth Avenue – New York, dedicates an event to the brand, entitled the ‘ Most Talented Italian Designer’ and Chicca Lualdi Beequeen starts an international path, where the brand is invited as guest with its catwalks to be part of Paris, London, New York, Moscow, Tokyo and Beijing fashion weeks.

In 2014 it is invited to the Beijing Fashion Week as the brand to represent the excellence of the new generation of Italian Fashion Industry.

In 2015 the Chicca Lualdi BeeQueen name is included in the “Vocabulary of Italian Fashion” and in the same year the brand is named fashion designer for The Monaco Royal Family.

In 2017 the first monobrand shops are opened in Japan.
